A bad day can turn into a bad attitude. A bad attitude can become a negative personality. A negative personality can make for a miserable person. To stop the cycle, stop the bad day. There are so many things to do that can change the course of a day. How to be happy? Remember, happiness is not a given. Happiness is a choice. So, read on and choose to do something that will bring you some joy.

- Do something you love for the joy and don’t care about the outcome.
- Find the end of the rainbow.
- Be grateful you talk to your mom a lot.
- Dance your patootie off in your living room, by yourself while singing at the top of your lungs.
- Help an elderly person.
- Love a child.
- Be loved by a child.
- Let a dog lick your face.
- Run into the ocean.
- Dive into a lake.
- Read Ralph Waldo Emerson.
- Get rid of all the junk in your house.
- Be grateful for your health.
- Send your Dad a thank you card.....just because.
- Let a wild bird eat crumbs right out of your hand (some will).
- Go for a hike and make it one mile longer than you thought you could go.
- Laugh with your partner, often.
- Tickle a baby.
- Cease to gossip.
- Soak in the bath tub for a really long time, with a glass of wine.
- Kneel down open your arms wide and let a child run straight into you.

- Stop and pay attention to your kids every time they need or want it.

- Put your rubber boots on and jump in mud puddles in the rain.

- Close your eyes and imagine what a hole in one would feel like.
- Take a long drive and only make left turns. See where you go.

- Surprise your honey...with anything.
- Break in a new pair of boots, any kind.
- Find a really farcical word in the dictionary and use it five times that day.
- Read the last page of a good book first. (Come on you know you want to.)
- Drive 5 miles under the speed limit to work and notice 10 things you’ve never seen before.
- Take the bus.
- Be a tourist in your own town.
- Forgive yourself for something you have held onto for to long.
- Forgive someone for something you have held onto for to long. (You don’t have to tell them, but you’ll feel better.)
- Don’t say one negative thing for an hour, then a day. It’s harder than you think.
- Smile and say, “Hi” to every person you pass on the street. (It really freaks people out.)
- Find a swing set and swing on it.
- Keep promises.
- Buy the wrapping paper you love most for Christmas presents.
- Eat a big bowl of soup with your favorite spoon.
- Love everything for a day.
- Be your best self.
- Prey.
- Cuddle often.
- Twirl.
- If your vehicle has 4WD go somewhere and use it.
- Believe you can be happy.
- Smile even if you don’t mean it.
- Laugh at yourself.
